Modern Body Painting
A young woman with a butterfly painted on her chest.
There has been a revival of body painting in the Western society since the 1960s, in part prompted by the liberalization of social mores regarding nudity and often comes in sensationalist or exhibitionist forms. Even today there is a constant debate about the legitimacy of body painting as an art form. The current modern revival could be said to date back to the 1933 World's Fair in Chicago where Max Factor and his model were arrested for causing a public disturbance when he bodypainted her with his new make-up formulated for Hollywood films.
Body art today evolves to the works more directed towards personal mythologies, as Jana Sterbak, Rebecca Horn, Youri Messen-Jaschin or Javier Perez.
Body painting is not always large pieces on fully nude bodies, but can involve smaller pieces on displayed areas of otherwise clothed bodies.

Marisa Miller Body Painting
On other painting photos, she wore nothing but the bra and panty has been painted on the body. Marisa Miller Body Painting was done masterly by pink, red and orange colored flowers painted on a white background. While the black colors were used in the border of the bra and its straps, there were no straps on the back. As same as, the panty is painted into match the floral pattern on bra. Looking at the pictures, nobody can say that she is not wearing anything!! Victoria’s Secret model, Marisa Miller looks like a Greek goddess with 5 ft 8 in and 34D-23-35 dimension.

Women Painting and Power In Their Lives
On That days When I’m standing in my studio, and watching ten women painting in silence with exquisite focus and concentration, and the energy is just humming. All of a sudden I hear a groan from one of the women and the words “Oh no, I hate it. It’s so ugly”. I smile,Women, Painting and Power feeling a sense of great relief and dread.
The Ugly Girl
Willing to buck the tide, to be her own unique self, to not always conform , to step away from the need for approval, to be willing to risk censure, to step outside of the box of what is acceptable as a woman in this culture, willing to be weird, different, unique, outrageous, bold.
